I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all the staff at the Montgomery USCIS Alabama office for their professionalism and support during my citizenship journey yesterday. My appointment began at 9:15 am for the interview and by 10:30 am I was taking my oath ceremony — a moment I will never forget. A very special thank you to Sir Bossert for his guidance and respectful approach throughout the process. We had our interview today at 11:30 AM at the USCIS office in Alabama we from Columbus,GA and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The interview went smoothly, and the officer who conducted it was extremely polite, respectful, and professional throughout the entire process. We would like to sincerely thank the USCIS team and especially commend the officer who interviewed us for their outstanding service.

Very pleasant experience! I had my citizenship interview at this location and everything was pretty quick and well organised. My letter/invitation said to be there no earlier than 30min prior to my scheduled interview time and I would definitely stick to that rule. No need to show up earlier than that (unless your letter specifically says that). The seating is limited and they won’t let you in until 15min prior to your interview anyway. I had my interview at 1.30pm and the oath ceremony was the same day at 3.15pm. So, once I got done with my interview/civics test etc. I had an hour to kill. They want you to come back 15min prior to the ceremony. Now, your family members won’t be able to join you for the interview part. However, they are allowed in for the oath/pledge of allegiance ceremony. I am not sure if it works like this all the time…as far as interview and the oath goes. It was definitely very nice to get it all done on the same day and walk out with a citizenship certificate. The writing and reading portion of the test was way easier than I thought it would be, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but it was very straightforward. Remember, you will be going through a metal detector, so don’t bring anything unnecessary (water, food, make up etc…they’ll throw it away). There is a water fountain past the security, if you get thirsty. Also kudos to all the staff, incredibly professional and friendly.

You are lucky if you're case is assigned to this office! Everyone is extremely nice and organized, so your interview is done in no time. They offer the convenience of same day oath ceremonies, which my husband and I took today. This is Alabama, no nonsense, common sense and southern respect and friendliness! Thank you everyone there for making this nerve wrecking process a wonderful experience! God Bless!
