PITA Mediterranean Street Food

I visited Pita Mediterranean Street Food in Montgomery and ordered the chicken shawarma—it was absolutely phenomenal! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, tender, juicy, and bursting with bold Mediterranean flavor. I paired it with the Greek fries, which were crispy, golden, and smothered in a creamy, tangy sauce I had never tried before. At first, I wasn’t sure about it, but one bite in and I was hooked—it was unique, flavorful, and downright addictive. For dessert, I tried the baklava cheesecake. The flavor was rich, sweet, and decadent, but I do wish the filo had been a bit more crisp and flaky. It felt slightly wilted, which took away from the texture, but the taste was still enjoyable and satisfying. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and filling, and the restaurant itself had a casual, welcoming vibe. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this spot—it’s a true hidden gem in Montgomery, and I’ll definitely be coming back every time I’m in town!

i love being here, i love the food. y’all are so nice. i was just looking for baklava at first but y’all have the best gyros in montgomery, i’m so serious. i’ve come here my first meal on every paycheck i’ve gotten since, and it is so worth it.

We had an extremely disappointing and CONCERNING experience at Pita in East Chase. My child was served raw chicken, not undercooked, but visibly raw in the middle. When we brought it to the staff’s attention, they acted like it was no big deal and offered no real apology or urgency. “It’s ok, we make another.” Serving raw poultry is a major health risk, ESPECIALLY to children. What’s worse is the lack of accountability from the staff , no manager came over, no one seemed to take it seriously, and no proper resolution was offered. Needless to say, we won’t be back. I hope they take food safety more seriously before someone ends up seriously ill.

I really like the environment and service. But the problem is FOOD. It was too much salty. The amount is very little. And of course the taste of the food is horrible. I ordered fries with gyro. Like I said it was way too much salted. The other two items , grilled chicken pita & kids fries and chicken were so so. You guys need to improve. This kind of food is not expected.

What a great place to come across. The food was amazing and I was surprised by the size! I had the gyro wrap with a side of Greek fries. Definitely don’t pass up the chance to eat here. All of the staff working there are so kind and friendly! I will definitely be eating there again!

The food is amazing!! Fast and friendly service !! We stopped here on our way to the beach. Definitely worth the stop.! 5 stars
