Ok I didn’t have a great experience with Chappell-but she froze off a keratosis on my back that I had and I had a small cyst on the side of my leg that I thought was an ingrown hair-she froze that thinking it was a keratosis spot but it wasn’t. I mainly went here to see about my nails pulling away from the nail bed and to mention that I had rash breakouts on different areas of my body from inflammation in which my previous dermatologist was booked up with more serious skin issues like cancer. I had to rely on my primary to help me with these crazy itchy rashes that look like psoriases or something. I just recently called to get back in with chapelle since she saw me last, because **she told me to come back when I have these suspicious rashes**……take a wild guess at what happened!!! She was booked until September. This keeps happening! No one will see me with my psoriatic type rashes. I finally called my previous dermatologist (Dr. Herron) and he’s booked up as well but I’m seeing a “NP” for my issue now. Maybe she’ll be able to figure out why I have these periodic awful rashes and pulling away of the nails from the nail bed, even though Herron doesn’t do nails anymore. That was the specific reason for my going to advanced dermatology was for my nails and the strange rashes. Why tell me to come back when I have breakouts but not be available to see me to diagnose

I typically don’t leave Google reviews, but I felt like I should share my experience with Dr. Chappell. I’ve been a long-time patient of Dr. Maddox and have always had great care with him. However, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Chappell due to an urgent skin issue and Dr. Maddox’s unavailability. My appointment was at 11:15 AM, and by 11:26 AM, I had already been seen, diagnosed, and paid a $50 copay—spending less than 15 minutes in total. I had been dealing with this skin concern for two months, yet Dr. Chappell spent under 10 minutes addressing my issue. I felt rushed, unheard, and dismissed. Her tone came across as unprofessional and dismissive, which made the experience even more frustrating. At one point, I told her, “I have never been told I had this diagnosis, and I have been coming here for over 10 years.” She replied, “Well, I can tell just by looking at you that you have ____.” That statement was incredibly unprofessional. I work in healthcare myself, and I cannot imagine using that tone or statement with any of my patients. I had scheduled the appointment to discuss two concerns, but only one was addressed. I was then told I would need to schedule and pay for another appointment to discuss the second concern—something I was not informed about when I originally scheduled the visit. The only person who seemed to acknowledge my frustration and show empathy was the woman at the front desk. I attempted to call and speak with the office manager, but was unable to speak with her. I left a voicemail to be able to discuss this issue further. Needless to say, I’ll be scheduling any/all future appointments with a different provider.

Called on friday..took me next Monday. Concerned with a changing mole.dr maddox is the best.been seeing him for years..thank you dr maddox and his staff.

My first visit, Doctor and staff were very nice, Doctor Peters was very knowledgeable, answered my questions and was very helpful with my problem.

I usually check reviews before going to a SPECIALIST however I was short on time and needed my daughter seen as soon as possible and she had next day appointment which should have been the first RED FLAG. However I had the absolute WORST experience with Dr.Chappelle very rude very condescending did not even do a proper ASSESSMENT. My daughter and I told her multiple times she has had a bad or no reaction to the very medication she insisted on trying to prescribe for her stating “well you probably used too much or using it wrong” then she told my 15 year old daughter her main problem is “life style change” without asking her any questions about her life style nor suggesting any changes. She then proceeded to suggest a brand of otc lotion that we both stated does not work for my daughter and she told us and I quote “ well it works for me and my other patients” while shrugging her shoulders and exhale like she was annoyed. 0 stars is the score. I would have received better care from Doc Mc Stuffins off Disney Channel at least she’s nice.

I have never left a review before but I’m leaving one here because I had such a terrible experience with this place. I saw Dr. Chappell and it was an awful experience. Going to any doctor for a condition, especially a dermatologist where you have an external, visible imperfection or condition, is already very vulnerable. Dr. Chappell was rude, dismissive, judgmental, and made an already vulnerable situation honestly quite embarrassing and distressing. Not to mention the very long wait time even though I arrived early for my appointment. On top of that, they had problems running my insurance and I ended up paying out of pocket there at the office. There was a bit more insurance back and forth and their billing department really dropped the ball on communicating with me. Long story short, MONTHS later, I get a bill in the mail from them for the visit I had already paid for. Now I’m trying to get that resolved. It has been a terrible experience overall, from the visit to the billing errors.

Dr. Maddox is fantastic, and I have been seeing him for over 25 years. Today’s experience with Bethany was highly unprofessional and left a lot to be desired. I arrived on time to my appointment and waited 35 minutes in the waiting room. Once back I was told it would be an additional 45 minutes before I could be seen because another patient forgot their pre-med and that patient would now be seen instead of me. I chose instead to simply leave. Reappoint patients who are late and/or who do not pre-med on time; the burden should not fall on patients who are there on time and have done what is asked of them. Do the right thing, honor appointment times, and your patients will appreciate you. I will not be back for an appointment with Bethany.
