Hanger Clinic: Prosthetics & Orthotics

My first experience with Hanger was with my Father-in-Law getting fitted for his prosthetic leg. They were a huge help and always there to answer questions and help with insurance paperwork. I had to go to them a few years ago to get fitted for diabetic shoes. I found a pair that I love that don’t look geriatric. They were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

I used the Decatur Alabama branch which is supervised by the Gadsden office. It took over a year to get my KAFO brace delivered. I was asked to sign for receiving it just before the end of the year even though it was back in the shop for modifications. The brace was never made usable for me. Now my insurance won't pay for another one for FIVE YEARS! Lesson Learned. Never sign for anything you are not completely satisfied with.

The Hangar Clinic is a wonderful supportive and friendly environment. Definitely helpful me with my needs when I required a hip brace after surgery. Had if done before I could start needing to get a exercise routine started. Recommend for anyone needing A prosthetic device 8

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! If you are looking for a place where you will be treated like family, COME HERE to the Hanger clinic in Gadsden, AL. Nobody likes to lose a limb, but when you are being taken care of by people who empathize with your pain and genuinely care about your well-being, it makes all the difference in the world. I had my right leg amputated below the knee nearly 40 years ago and have been seen by countless different prosthetists. I am so grateful to God for guiding me to visit this specific Hanger clinic in Gadsden. I live in West Palm Beach, FL, but it is so worth it to fly from South Florida to Alabama just to have GERALD work on my prosthetic. I would highly recommend GERALD to anyone who desires to have a perfectly fitting, comfortable, and beautiful prosthesis. GERALD is very kind, compassionate, patient, generous, and FULL of empathy. Not only that, but GERALD is also extremely knowledgeable. Since I have a short residual limb, it has been difficult for the different prosthetists that I have seen over the years to create a limb that was secure. All of that changed when Gerald started to work on my leg about 2 years ago. He has been able to create THE ABSOLUTE BEST prosthetic limb that I have had since my amputation nearly 40 years ago. Gerald is BRILLANT and is a gift from God. Even though others had difficulty creating a secure prosthetic for my leg, GERALD stepped up to the plate, took on the challenge and was very successful. The limb that GERALD made for me has been comfortable, secure, a perfect fit, and does not cause any pain. Because of this, my quality of life has drastically improved because I am now able to move better without pain. This prosthetic also has enabled me to work-out more at the gym than I have in the past. The prosthetic limbs that I had used in the past did not feel secure enough for me to able to work out. GERALD fixed all that! Not only is the prosthetic limb perfectly fitting, but GERALD ensured that is cosmetically appealing as well. I highly recommend this place for anyone with a need that is provided by Hanger. I encourage you to try it for yourself so that you will be able to experience it for yourself!!!

My complaint is this, when i went To get built shoe ..they told me it would be 70.00 a shoe and if i had 3 done it would be a cheaper rate....when i went to Pick it up they SAID IT WOULD BE 90.00 .. I said they told me 70.00 she said they charge by the inch. after the. 70.00. it is 15.00 an inch .. and the lady”s name I was speaking To was Tammy ( when I called to complain).,she said she was manger .. she did have a bad attitude. to be dealing with customers... they just need to learn to tell PEOPLE its 70.00 and then for every inch it is $15.00 ... bottom line!! Still wondering how mine come out even $ 90.00... weird..

If you need something in a timely manner, this is not the place for you.

I've been working with Bill for many many years.. He knows exactly what I need in a brace. I highly recommend him for all your prosthetics needs.
