Our band's whole experience at Higher Ground Studio was excellent in every way. The sound that Bud Brown achieves through his knowledge of the equipment, the space, and the science of recording is exquisite. His mellow demeanor paired with his tireless work ethic makes him a musician's dream of an engineer! We will definitely be back to Higher Ground Studios!

(Bud, I came up with this, but when it came to me posting it, there was not highlight space for me to do so. How can we work this out?) I participated in several recording sessions as a composer and musician at Higher Ground Studios, 1279 Glenridge Dr, Bessemer, AL, culminating in two quite quality recordings. With worthy instruments (well-set mikes on the drums, good piano keyboard; stellar fender Rhoads keyboard), quality engineering and ample enough editing by Bud Brown, making it a more successful musical project. Moreover, Bud has a mellow assuring way of making necessary suggestions towards achieving better musical ends by providing such a relaxed and personable environment. By taking the edge off, it was easier for us to work. I say this for myself, David Higgins, and on behalf of fellow participating musicians/composers Leslie and Richard Shepard

Higher Ground Studios is one of the Best Recording studios in Birmingham!!! If you want great professional quality, intimate details of your tracks, and best of all at a Very affordable price then this professional recording studio is the place!!! I've been recording with owner and sound engineer Bud Brown since at least 2008? It's just very comfortable, and you're going to get your money's worth!!
